Art has always been a mirror—sometimes showing the world as it is, other times as we feel it. With the Reflections series, I wanted to explore that idea both literally and emotionally.
Each piece in this series plays with mirrors—not just as visual elements, but as symbols of introspection and identity. What do we see when we look at ourselves? What do we hide? What shifts when the angle changes?
They invite the viewer to not just look at the subject, but to see themselves in it. To question what’s real, what’s projected, and what lies just beyond visibility.
Creating this series was deeply personal. It emerged from moments of self-reflection, discomfort, and growth. At times, I didn’t recognize the person in the mirror—and that, I’ve learned, is part of being human.
For many, especially those in trans and gender-diverse communities, the mirror can be a complicated place—where identity is not always affirmed, and recognition can feel like an act of resistance. This series holds space for that experience.
Whether it’s the soft quiet of a figure lost in fogged glass or the sharp tension of a gaze returned, Reflections is about that universal but vulnerable experience of being seen—and seeing yourself.
As with much of my work, these portraits are available as museum-quality fine art prints and can be customized by size or format.
Thank you for taking a moment to look a little deeper.
